U.S. expert: “rigid diets lead to overeating and can also change the body’s metabolism”.
An American study that lasted 4 years states that extreme diets, taken by teenage, to lose weight can lead eventually just obesity.
Many of these behaviors are not effective long term weight loss, “said Professor Eric Stacey, Department of Psychology at the University of Texas at Austin, who led the study.
Lisa Dorfman Dietician and Psychotherapist, who is also spokesman for the U.S. dieticians, responded to the findings, saying that “We know diets stiff indeed lead to overeating and can also change the body’s metabolism.”
“When you take an extreme diet, your body slows its metabolism, because he does not know when he will get food next time. Eating a piece of cake is better than the extreme diet for a week, after which you eat the whole cake
The conclusion of these findings requires us to change slightly the length of life and we have to:
